Seven Continents. 220,000 MILES. 100+ Countries.

The route is of course subject to enormous change. From past expeditions we have learned a key element to route preparation: Less planning = less disappointment.

Stage One:

Our proposed travels will begin in North America where we can do final testing of both the truck & trailer before heading South toward the equator. Specifics on the North American section are currently being finalized. The journey will take us through all of the Central American countries before terminating at the impassable Darien Gap in Panama.

Stage Two & Three:

We then will explore South America and slowly make our way toward the Southernmost point in Patagonia. The exact route through South America is subject to some change due to political instability and is dependent upon seasonal considerations due to weather conditions, particularly in the Tierra Del Fuego region. A visit to Antartica sans the vehicle will take place from Southern Argentina while we await the vehicles shipment to South Africa.

Stage Four:

The African continent can be approached from two very different routes, the East or West crossing. For many years, either one or the other or both routes were largely impassable due to various conflicts in the many hot spot countries. As of our departure date in 2020 both routes have been confirmed to be passable by other overlanders, but obviously our specific path will be determined closer to the actual travel date. Currently, our thinking is to take the West route after exploring some of East Africa, ultimately crossing into Europe at the strait of Gibraltar from Morocco.

Stage Five:

We travel throughout the continent of Europe. This will give us a bit of reprieve after spending many months enduring harsh travel conditions across Africa. We intend to visit both continental Europe, as well as the United Kingdom & the Scandinavian area.

Stage Six:

Our travels will take us across the continent of Asia. We will largely take a more Northerly route above the Himalayas before turning toward South East Asia.

Stage Seven:

Australia! We will arrive to discover & explore our seventh & final continent.
